Terrorist Screening Center
Christopher M. Piehota currently serves as the Director of the Terrorist Screening Center, and provides executive leadership for the United States Government’s consolidated terrorist watchlisting and encounter management enterprise called for by Homeland Presidential Directive Six. In this capacity, Mr. Piehota also leads the center’s inter-agency staff in providing counterterrorism support to the law enforcement and intelligence communities. Immediately prior to his current assignment, Mr. Piehota served as the Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Buffalo, New York, Field Office from 2011-2013. As the Buffalo Division Special Agent in Charge, Mr. Piehota has provided executive field leadership for all National Security, Criminal, and Intelligence operations. Mr. Piehota has previously served as the Terrorist Screening Center’s Deputy Director for Operations, Intelligence, and Administration; as Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the FBI’s Washington, D.C. Field Office (WFO); and in various assignments in the FBI’s Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, and Intelligence programs.
